This quiet picture if one of my sister's favorites. I think we like pictures like this because we attribute common emotions to animals. The Goose looks almost pensive.

The day I got this was after a long time of trying to get a landing Goose.
Notice the feet on the one on the right are just hitting the water.
They glide in, as the Goose at the top is, and hit, as the Goose at the right is.
The begin to settle into the water, as the Goose at the bottom left is.
This is not a made up shot, it is as I took it.

Canada Geese go through the same bathing ritual as the small birds you might see in your bird feeder. This one's wings are wet from that, and he decided to take off. The heavy muscular neck, and tank - like body, indicates a Drake.

Really, I think you are seeing a gift of God, and not something from my ability. I am neither as joyful or as delightful as these pictures are. They seem to bless others, and I also feel His love when I look at them. Spent a lot of time with the Geese, last year, learning photography from my mistakes. Look around in the index, there are many other subjects. I typically pick the best of the best of my pictures, and treat each of them as if they were a painting, as I was trained to paint them.
