Revisit the first Green Heron Sightings.

At first I did no realize that this bird had a long neck, and was in fact a small Heron family member.

Suddenly the long neck appeared. Realized today the face an beak look something like one of the muppets.

Surprisingly, it is not easy to get pictures such as these, as the Green Heron is kind of skittish.

The Green Heron is starting to get flustered, finally realizing I am there.

Put this picture along side of one of me when I first wake up and you might think we are related.

A little more flustered, he fluffs up his top knot, and struts, finally stretched out his neck, and shakes, and flies off.

Look back through the above pictures, if you wish, and realize just how much neck had been smoothly hidden by this bird as he becomes smaller to hunt.
