Walking Sticks, or canes, 2010

Above is roughly-to-scale comparison of the walking sticks.  Standard light switch gives you approximate size.   Top of switch is about 49 inches, bottom is about 44 and one-half inches.

Walking sticks, or canes, have been air drying for at least two years in an climate controlled space.  Weight is light, generally, with the heaviest two at the end.  It takes me about two weeks work to prepare each one, so the price is set at $150 each, plus $15 postage, continental US.  Feel free to make me an offer.  All sales will be final.  There is no coating on the canes, unless noted.

You could linseed oil them and let them dry, wax them, stain them, or  just leave then alone.  Surface is not smooth, just smooth enough to give you a good grip.   I will hazard a guess as the type of wood, but no guarantees about that.

I can put in from forty-to-eighty hours, or more, on each cane.  If you think my price is too high, how much money do you make a week?  Air dried over two years, they require no treatment as long as you don't leave them outside.  After drying so long, rain showers will not hurt them.  You won't change them much unless you soak them in a river.  Apply coatings as you wish. Noted ones have been sealed.

All sales are final.  Use at your own risk.  Making these has been a great blessing to me, and I hope the peace that went into making them carries over to you. Paul.

First come first served.  When I get an order I will note it on the web, after check clears or whatever payment I will remove the particular walking stick from this page.

again, suggested price is $150 each, plus postage, what you think a reasonable offer will be considered.
